Meet Alvina, a handmade stoneware River Nymph.  
 
Part of my 'River Relics' series these small sculptures were inspired by the ancient practice of making offerings to the Gods and placing them in the River Thames.  These pieces are my own offering to the gods of the river. Each one has their own personality.
 
Hand sculpted in my studio, these small stoneware River Nymph sculptures were fired in the kiln twice and glazed with a combination of glazes and underglazes. Every single one is completely unique.
 
Alvina is approx 3 inches tall.
